How To Know and Choose Sustainable Makeup Goodies

Whenever I sit with my girlfriends I get asked, “Hey Christy, why don’t you give us some of your thoughts on sustainability?” And I am very well aware that the pikkity-pies are pulling me down to throw my 2 cents in helping them with skin care. You don’t have to hesitate ladies, here I go.

Living a life as close to nature as possible is important to us, but how exactly does one do that in today’s day and age? We can always do it with a quick DIY but with the advances in technology, we’ve made over the past several years, reconnecting with the Earth can seem like a far-fetched idea better left in the pages of Walden. However, all is not lost especially with these eco-friendly makeup brands that have paved the way to beautiful skin and effective products.

Vapour

Eco-friendly makeup brands such as Vapour makes me feel guilty about using products using synthetic chemicals because seriously, people at Vapour seem to blur the lines between art and eco-consciousness, even using solar and wind power in their laboratory to manufacture their products. Their packaging is made of recyclable aluminum and even their packaging boxes are recycled paper printed with soy ink. They’ve also received 2 Best of Beauty Awards from ALLURE magazine.
